Brian Carter is a 53-year-old gay man who has been living in Los Angeles for 14 years. Diagnosed “HIV positive” in 2006, he considered evidence on “HIV” from both sides and decided to reject his diagnosis and never to take HIV drugs. We asked him: How is that going?
From the very beginning of his journey — his diagnosis — Brian felt that there was something wrong with the information he was given. Gay communities in particular are vulnerable to AIDS propaganda and tend to reinforce it. But there is power in numbers: When he heard that he was not alone in his skepticism, his position solidified. He touts the importance of a healthy lifestyle and a life without major stresses. Belief in HIV — or anything that can jump out of the bushes or from underneath your bed and kill you — is one of the biggest stresses there is! Brian remains healthy and drug free, another living reminder that you don’t have to panic when you find out that you have HIV “antibodies.”
One of the most important “dissident” articles that influenced Brian’s decision to reject antiretroviral drugs and the whole “HIV=AIDS” dogma was “AIDS and the Voodoo Hex” by Dr. Matt Irwin. Brian was also a friend of the late Christine Maggiore. He talks about her and about Alive and Well, the organization she founded.

I suppose this to be the place to come and elaborate—follow up, but first thanks shall go to Beth and David, for without their steadfast dedication, nothing would be possible.
When embarking on a podcast entry like this, one quickly finds they have limited time to get points across and with a 30 year old subject matter at hand so large and encompassing, it’s no wonder. I don’t get to do this often, but when I do, I like to give whoever’s listening something to take home.
So, what does one do when they encounter stupidity, no matter how much the idea might seem plausible? Run from it perhaps? See, I’m considering myself lucky. My story is somewhat different than those that have been thrown a curve ball to their life by the way of western medicine’s HIV care industry. Two clinic visits and attending three support group meetings was all that I was able to handle. I did just that. Run.
Now, I suppose there are times when people who present illnesses and conditions don’t have this type of luxury, but the whole meme’s idea is to catch infections early, right?–before they become ill? This suggests that the predominate group of individuals who’ve all of a sudden found themselves coming face to face with utter stupidity, are not of the sick and dying kind, but more likely or more often than not, the gullible. After all, isn’t the HIV virus theory sold to its core group constituents, who have through the years made it this way? Perhaps. Doesn’t matter if it’s a 30 year old farce, which it is, what makes the utmost sense is to leave it. The sooner the better.
People who have a predisposition to questioning what they’ve been told, a disbelief in the supernatural and those less likely to be a church monger will have a better chance at a higher understanding of all this, undoubtedly. What we can only do is throw the cards on the table, suggest to people that just as surely Jesus and biblical fables are sold as truth (how can a work of fiction be truth) the book of HIV and AIDS is just one in the same and like I’ve said, the tie in is all too great not to ignore. Is it this simple? Yes it is.
Perhaps a correction is in order.
I do not necessarily detest what David and Beth designed as the name to our talk, for its fashioned using a religulous (yes, this word you can look up) linguistic acronym label after my name, which is a little silly in my opinion, but I can understand why. See, many years ago, I wasn’t the man I am today. Back then a very astute and well meaning medical practitioner helped me break the spell (voodoo) one step further. Some of you know him. Jonas Moses. He told me, and this is so simple as to make one’s head spin like Linda Blair in the Exorcist, “You’re not positive.”
Would I ever in the world define myself nowadays and forever in what amounts to as none other than absolute stupidity? Fat chance of that, never.
