Tommy Morrison was on top of the world in 1996. World heavyweight boxing champion, star of Rocky V with Sylvester Stallone, winner of almost every fight…his life was turned upside down when he tested positive for HIV antibodies just before a fight.
In 2006 he re-tested and was negative and has tested negative many times since then. Celia Farber and David Crowe join guest host Terry Michael in this exclusive interview.

Epilogue: Tommy “The Duke” Morrison died on September 1, 2013, of health complications stemming from his detention on a false fugitive warrant in late 2011. His widow, Trisha Harding Morrison (“The Duchess”), granted us a two-part interview, which we posted as Episodes 69 and 70, our “Requiem for a Heavyweight” series. It is our sincere hope that these historic Podcasts will tell the full story of Tommy’s ordeal, setting the record straight that he didn’t “die of AIDS” or end in “tragic denial.” In fact, electron microscopy proved that Tommy’s blood did not contain any ‘particles resembling HIV’. Tommy’s three books, one of them posthumous, are available here. We also note this excellent interview.
Excellent interview! Thanks to everyone ~ especially TOMMY MORRISON. Here’s wishing you all the best for your return to the ring! I feel sorry for your first couple of opponents ~ because you’re surely going to knock their lights out! Yeah ~ they’re going to take the brunt of what you’d ideally like to give those in the Boxing Federation who so unfairly, illegitimately & even seemingly illegally, discriminated against you.
