How can we cope and nourish ourselves on a planet of “empty harvests” and large-scale deceptions? Independent Christian missionary and certified nutritional consultant Dan Sinkiewicz tells co-host Elizabeth Ely how our bodies — and our souls — can live in harmony with nature.
How toxic is modern medicine? Dan cites a recent report of 100,000 to 400,000 deaths annually by medicine in the U.S. alone and, he says, estimates of one in 10 deaths worldwide.
Listen in on plain talk by two earnest Midwesterners. Dan advises us to:
- Resist “Scientism” as strenuously as the dogmas of traditional religions: “[B]ecause, let’s face it, this world is motivated by greed. Big Pharma . . . they don’t love you.”
- Exercise simple logic: “We’ve lost common sense in this world and especially in . . . the things we’re talking about.”
- Respect evolution as more than random: “The body has divine intelligence within it that can heal itself – if it’s given the proper nutrients and, in some cases, making sure hormone balance is correct and that pH balance is correct.”
- Escape the Standard American Diet: “There is no food in our food supply.” Also, he says, petrochemicals have made the American farm “one of the most dangerous places for a child to grow up.”
- Take personal responsibility for our own “personal ecosystems” even as we acknowledge the “sinister forces” of the world.
- Practice a loving spirituality: “It’s very important to differentiate the Church from Christianity. . . . True Christianity is about love. . . . It’s not a religion of rules; it’s not a religion of dogma.”
Finally, Dan relates his adventures in working with the indigenous peoples of the southern Amazon. Unfortunately, he says, the culture of nutrition and health “has been destroyed” as “pharmaceutical boats” sent by governments and well-meaning but misguided Christian missionary organizations distribute drugs, vaccines and antibiotics indiscriminately. “They [are] inundated with Western medicine,” he says.
Dan references further information on risks in our environment, chiefly as relates to the contamination of U.S. municipal water supplies with cryptosporidium (referring to a 1992 outbreak in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, which Dan inaccurately cites as 1995) and hormone-disrupting drugs. Dan and Beth are both familiar with pollution issues in their native Michigan, such as the 1970s PBB crisis and the lack of iodine in the Midwest’s soil and food. Beth mentions “How Positive Are You” Episode 90 with John Virapen on corrupt pharmaceutical company practices.
A SPECIAL OFFER FOR OUR LISTENERS: Mention “How Positive Are You” and receive two jars of Dan’s Green Gold Nutrition “All-in-One” nutritional supplement for the price of one, and a free sample of his pH-balancing capsules. (This is not a paid plug or endorsement. Rather, we hope that our listeners who take advantage of the offer will report their experiences with the product by writing us at info@howpositiveareyou.com.)
